Not long after MTV’s Splashpage called for a film adaptation of BAYOU, this UGO Comics article declares HIGH MOON to be a comic that “should be a TV show but isn’t…yet.” Can’t say I disagree!
High Moon writer David Gallaher weighs in on his casting dream team in the Ugo article, but artist Steve Ellis has some other ideas about who he’d want in a High Moon series: “I tend not to think of characters this way [as actors] — but — based on my designs, Conroy is somewhere between Michael Clarke Duncan and Mario Van Peebles. Macgregor is a combination of Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef.”
I say DOLF LUNDGREN as Tristan. YES.

Since Andy Belanger’s BOTTLE OF AWESOME hits the Comixology site today, I thought I’d share my favorite (for extremely high-brow reasons) panel from the story: the jock-tacular screen 75, panel 4. You can procure BOTTLE OF AWESOME #1 on Comixology’s Zuda page at some point today for more scenes involving the ever-affable football hero, Dan Douche.

Since this is the week that AZURE joins DC Digital, I thought I’d do a bit of fan art for the occasion. Now, everyone knows that when it comes to art, Dan Govar sets the bar very high, and when it comes to underwater scenes, there are none that can top him. Nevertheless, I had never drawn a sea turtle before, so I thought I’d give it a shot. Please enjoy, and go read the first issue of Azure for free!

Over the last week we’ve been doing our best to answer any and all questions about what happens with ZUDA now that the site is down. While some of these conversations get pushed further down on this blog I thought I’d put together a post that helps round up the various interviews and locations where you might be able to get some answers.
First up, there’s Twitter. The official ZUDA COMICS account is @zudacomics. That’ll be your best bet for all sorts of ZUDA news. Feel free to ask questions as well. We’ll reply as quickly as possible. In addition to the official account, most of the staff are on Twitter as well. Be aware that these are not official DC Comics accounts so there’s going to be a lot of non-Zuda, non-work related tweets.
Many of the ZUDA creators, past and present, are on Twitter as well. We’ve tried to compile as many as possible into a List but if there are any we missed just let us know.
In addition to Twitter, there are a number of conversations on the Wall of the official Zuda Comics Facebook Page. Don’t be shy!
There are also a number of official interviews that address the shutdown of the site specifically:
And of course, there are still the official ZUDA COMICS Message Boards. While the Staff doesn’t get on the boards that often we do chime on on some of the longer threads. However, the Message Boards are still a great resource for discussions about the series themselves or other general topics.
Enjoy!
